A diverse program of events on visual arts, archaeology, music, theater and literature, exhibitions, seminars and projects are just as much a part of the cultural network’s offerings as the provision of guest rooms, seminar rooms, workshops and catering, as well as support for interested parties in holding their own events.
The name of the cultural network Koppelschleuse is based on the immediate vicinity of the historic Koppelschleuse, a special type of lock in which two lock chambers were set up one behind the other to overcome a greater difference in height.
