<td width="452" align="left" valign="top" height="152"><font color="white" face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">Five institutions combine their cultural strengths within the network known as Koppelschleuse Meppen: The Stichting Van Gogh & Drenthe (NL), the Administrative District of Emsland/ Exhibition Centre for Archaeology in the Emsland District, Meppen Town Council, the Art Circle of Meppen (in conjunction with the School of Art) and the German Youth Hostel Association.<br>
The lively culture network has set its sights on promoting historical, aesthetic and creative expertise. The Youth and Culture Guest House in Meppen and the Van Gogh House in Nieuw-Amsterdam form intercultural meeting places each offering an international programme of events relating to fine art and architecture, applied art and design, literature and media as well as cultural history.<br>
